RCO I CONSOLE — Designed by Abel Cárcamo
The Arco I Console reinterprets one of architecture’s most enduring forms: the classical arch. Drawing inspiration from Roman gateways, aqueducts and monumental structures, Abel Cárcamo reduces this historic archetype to its essential geometry, creating a sculptural composition defined by graceful curves, solid volumes and carefully balanced proportions.
Carved from Rosso Levanto marble, the console expresses the permanence and monumentality of classical architecture through a distinctly contemporary language. The stone's deep burgundy tones and natural veining bring movement and individuality to its restrained silhouette, ensuring that each edition possesses a unique material character.
Through the Arco collection, Cárcamo establishes a dialogue between architecture and object, transforming an ancient structural principle into a functional sculpture. Born in Chile and based in Paris, the designer moves between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary expression, exploring the relationship between material, cultural memory and the enduring presence of handmade objects.
